Wellness & Safety

The Department of Wellness & Safety is responsible for maintaining the well being of VRDF and civilian personnel through the standardization of safe equipment, work sites, general base construction, health inspections, and medical practices.

Their given goal is the keep those under the VRDF's banner and care as well kept and safe as possible. They ensure that every single piece of equipment is up to snuff and the quality standard set — ammunition is especially checked, as exploding artillery shells are not exactly pleasant for those in the proximity of one.

But they are more than just quality assurance as a department. While they improve the overall safety of every site and base the VRDF has through their efforts, they also are the VRDF's medical branch. They work alongside the D.R.D., and D.C.R. in order to create the most effective medicines, and improving any and all medical practices for any given species in the event of injury.

If you have ever been saved by emergency medical aid stations within a VRDF base, then you have been saved by the D.W.S. They may not be the most humorous branch of individuals, but they care more than enough to do what it takes to keep you alive.

General VRDF medical personnel from surgeons to combat medics are required to be tested by the D.W.S. for different certifications, each depending on the subject and field of expertise.

You forget about them until you wake up in their hospital bed.
